This policy explains what personal information Fixlos collects from merchants and customers, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email, name and profile details, and how you log in.
- Store details: if you sell, what you tell us about your store and products, links you add such as social media accounts, and the results of our reviews.
- Order details: if you buy, your name, email, billing country and address or postcode where needed for tax, the products you buy, and receipts. Payment processors collect and hold your card details. Fixlos does not store full card numbers.
- Verification and payout details: if you withdraw earnings, we and our payment partners collect identity, business and bank details to verify you and pay you.
- Fraud and risk data: signals such as IP address, device and payment patterns used to spot fraud and abuse.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and error logs.
- Cookies: small files that keep you logged in and your account secure.
- Messages: what you send to support.
Who is responsible for your data
For the sales we process as merchant of record, Fixlos decides how order, payment, tax and fraud data is used and is responsible for it. A merchant receives the order details they need to deliver the product, such as the customer's email, and is responsible for how they use them. Merchants must handle customer data lawfully and only for delivering and supporting their products, unless the customer agrees otherwise. Each merchant's own site and product may have its own privacy policy.
How we use it
- to create and secure accounts and process payments;
- to deliver orders, send receipts and provide support;
- to calculate and remit taxes and to pay merchants;
- to review stores and payouts, including automatic checks of what a store plans to sell;
- to prevent fraud, abuse and chargebacks and to keep Fixlos safe;
- to understand and improve Fixlos;
- to send service messages, and marketing only where you have agreed or the law allows;
- to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Payment and payout providers, that process payments, verify merchants and send payouts.
- Merchants, who get the order details they need to deliver what a customer bought.
- Service providers for hosting, database, email, tax and security, who may use data only on our behalf.
- Authorities, advisers and fraud-prevention partners when the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety and prevent fraud.
- A successor if Fixlos is part of a merger, sale or similar change.
We do not sell your personal information.
Our legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you asked for, our legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention and improving Fixlos, legal obligations such as tax and anti-money-laundering rules, and your consent for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep data while your account is open and as long as needed for the purposes above. After you close your account, we keep what we must for tax, accounting, fraud prevention and legal reasons, then delete or anonymize it. Order and payment records are usually kept for several years because of tax and financial rules. Copies in backups and logs may last a little longer before they are removed.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict some uses, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use these rights, email privacy@fixlos.com. We may need to verify your identity first. Some data we must keep by law, and we will tell you if that applies. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time with the link in the email or by writing to us, and you can manage cookies in your browser.
Children
Fixlos is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we will delete it if we learn we have. A parent or guardian who believes a child gave us information can contact us to have it removed.
Security
We protect your information with measures such as encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
International transfers
We and our providers may process your information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for these transfers.
Other sites and services
Fixlos links to and works with other services, such as payment providers and merchants' own sites, which have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will tell you before it takes effect.
